After going back and forth with buying these, I decided to splurge and add both waves into my collection. The First Wave (Banana, Lemon, Apple) was definitely an easy introduction to shape mods. The Second Wave (Peach, Pear, and Orange) is much harder.
Pear is the easiest as it can be solved like a 3 colored cube. The pieces on the first, second, and third layers are all the same regardless of permutation.
Peach is the second hardest as it feels like an off-axis 3x3. Instead of having the bottom and tops of the peach be centers, they are corner pieces. Solving it around these two pieces still gives you a sense of direction and you will eventually solve it.
Orange is by far the hardest of both waves, and I have still not solved it by the writing of this review. The Orange is not a perfect circle but is instead an oval. This odd shape along with the Mirror Block feel has confused me to no end. I was able to solve a single layer by basing it off of the 'top' / stem part of the orange; however, I am at a loss when trying to solve the second and last layers. Every piece looks the same, and I am not even 100% sure the first layer is even solved properly. I desperately want to take it apart, but can't even figure if it is safe to do so.
Despite the Orange most likely being unsolved for the rest of its days in my collection, I still rate the bundle 5 stars. The quality and realism of the product are magnificent. I can't wait to see what fruits are added to this Fanxin line.
