QiYi AI 3x3 Bluetooth Smart Cube

I've never had a smart cube before, but it does everything I would want it to do. It times and analyzes my solves, has an online racing mode, and you can learn more algorithms and stuff on it

This cube is fantastic. It isn't the best cube as a speed cube, it feels a bit like an RS3M, but a little slower.

However, it's definitely good enough for beginners & intermediates+, and the App is what makes this cube amazing.

In practice mode, it gives you a scramble, and simulates inspection, and starts timing as soon as you start turning the cube, and time stops when the cube is solved.

The results can show you how much time you spent in each phase: Cross, F2L, OLL, PLL, and even AUF.

It also supports Roux and I forget the 3rd option; I don't think its ZZ, it's probably Petrus.

You can change this after the solve to see the results in different methods, or set it as a default in the settings (though I'm not sure if it works, I didn't try that).

My only complaint is you can't disable WCA inspection, so you only get 15 seconds to analyze the cube before starting the solve, otherwise it gives you +2/DNF.

It seems like there is an option to disable it, but either it doesn't work, I am doing something wrong, or it's doing something else.

It's translated from Chinese, but I didn't run into any major translation issues that hindered usability.

Especially for such a cheap price, this is probably the best tool you can buy if you want to improve your cubing from ~ 2 minutes to sub-20 seconds or beyond.

I tried it and you can connect the cube using smart-player. It is a app that you can you this cube to race other people and it show how much battles you did, wins, and your win-percentage.

This is my second smartcube after the GAN i Carry. Out of the box the feel of this cube is significantly better than the i Carry and feels nearly indistinguishable from my RS3 stickerless which has upgraded magnets and lunar lube. From tensions to corner cuts and magnet strength I can't really feel significant a difference between the two cubes.

The app on the other hand is a work in progress. The first pop-up window is entirely in Chinese and I'm not sure what I selected. I just picked the option on the right and it got me to the language selection window. It is still pretty barebones and doesn't do nearly as much as the GAN app to help beginners which to me is the most important feature in a smart cube. This is why I only gave it 4-stars. If the app gets fleshed out a little more and gets some of the bugs under control I will give it the 5-stars this cube deserves. Cubeast support would be the cherry on top to turn this cube into a must-buy.
