I was genuinely surprised by this cube. After reading all the negative reviews, I wasn't expecting much, but I was curious. The features, especially the slightly heavier feel and the range of adjustments, really intrigued me, so I went ahead and ordered the basic version.
When I first opened it, it felt stiff and blocky, almost like it was defective. I reached out to customer support (who were great, by the way; they immediately offered me a replacement or a refund), but I decided to stick with it and see what I could do. I’ve collected most of the 3x3s released over the past four years, so I figured I’d give it a proper try.
I disassembled it, gave it a thorough cleaning, and started using it daily. At first, it was definitely harder to use than most cubes. Even on the loosest settings, it felt like the tightest cube I’d ever tried. But something happened over time. After about two months of consistent use, it gradually loosened up and transformed.
One day, I picked it up and realized it had become the best cube I’ve ever owned. The feel is incredible, and the build quality is right up there with the Super Weilong V2. Performance-wise, I’d say it’s even better than the V10. It’s more consistent, more controllable, and just more satisfying to use. Honestly, I also prefer it over GAN’s latest offerings.
If you're willing to stick with it through a few hundred solves and experiment with the settings, I honestly believe this is one of the best cubes you can buy right now. It's a shame it doesn't get the recognition it deserves. I even ordered two more just to have backups, I like it that much.
