Does catch but overall a good cube

It’s Amazing

I ordered this cube from SpeedCubeShop last week, and got it on Tuesday. And I’d give it a 4.5, but 5 is the closest option.
Starting on the unboxing, GAN simplified their fun boxes, which is a little sad to me. But the box is cool, and the bag is just nice.
And now on to performance, the cube feels VERY light, and I’m not really used to that. The magnets feel a bit weak, and I wish it could be a bit stronger. And it turns… good. It just seems to catch a bit sometime, but it’s OK. But I can’t find a good setting with the tensioning system, something keeps bothering me, but for now, I’m not gonna mess with the cube.
Overall, I’d give this cube a 4.5/5, and I can say it would definitely be better than their last three previous models (14 Pro, 14, 13), and it ties with the 12. So yeah, I hope this review helps! :)

Amazing cube, but still not my main

I absolutely love how light this cube is, and how the customization is less and not overwhelming like before. However unfortunately this cube is just too flexible for me. I wanted it to be my main so bad but while it gained a smoother lighter feel than the 12, it lost too much stability for me so I’m sticking with the 12 for my main. Overall an amazing product though.

Feels like an 11, 12, 13, and 14 combined

- Has the weight similar to the 11.
- Has the magnet positioning similar to the 12.
- Has the dual-adjustments similar to the 13 and 14.
- Has the center caps of the 14 Pro.
- Lacks the adjustable magnets of all previous models besides the magnet rods.

Honestly the GAN 15 Maglev in terms of turning feel, feels similar to the 12 has most people say because of the positioning, but because of the spherical track design and corner feet, besides the magnetism, the cube itself feels...different.

It is so light so it is good for practice but in all honesty, I feel like the weight is not really an "innovation" and much preferred the adjustments like how we used to do it in the 12/14 but I guess this works anyways.

Going back to the performance, I don't know if I have a defective model, but my GAN 15 actually feels the tiniest bit scratchy from Maglev compared to the smoothness of the 12, 13, and 14. The auto-alignment when completing a turn is there but the self-alignment is nearly gone like the 13. Compared to the 12 and the 14 though, the 15 actually to me, catches. A LOT. Honestly feels a little jarring and interrupts the flow of the solve. GAN reduced the price in sacrifice of the adjustment features, but honestly with how this cube turned out, it seems like this was just very experimental and not worth the price.

Buy it if you have the money and want to try something less than 60 grams, but be warned of its performance.
